The Level 3 Award, Level 4 Certificate and Level 5 Diploma in Automotive Management are vocationally related national qualifications (VRQs) that have been developed specifically for managers engaged in the management of the automotive retail businesses and departments.
The qualifications have been developed by the IMI, in conjunction with automotive manufacturers, dealer groups, training providers and the Sector Skills Council; all of whom recognise the need to prepare and up-skill automotive managers of the future. The training delivers a foundation from which motor businesses can develop and improve efficient operations achieving profitable results.
All three levels are Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQs) which means that they are flexible in their delivery. This enables you to agree the timing and pace at which you want to work through the training and assessments of your chosen programme.
There are no exams involved; each level comprises of units of learning and assessment. On completion of each unit, you will be awarded a number of credits that accumulate into the achievement of your qualification.
Whilst there is a set structure for the three qualification levels, you can choose the level at which you enter the programme. We will be pleased to discuss with you, your current situation and experience and advise on the most appropriate level for you.
The Level 3 award is intended for Aspiring managers, Supervisors, Controllers and those appointed to their first management role.

The aim of this qualification (VRQ) is to offer managers working in the automotive industry the opportunity to develop and improve their management skills and knowledge.

This senior level qualification offers you the opportunity to develop, and improve your knowledge of the wider role of automotive retail management and can assist you in developing and improving retail automotive business operations and performance.
